Charles & Charles MV

This is a hard place to review because it really deserves more than 5 stars on every level. Outstanding. Lovely room with thoughtful extras (edible), quiet but convenient location. Good communications from Charles before arriving, warm welcome on arrival. We only had one full day on the island but were directed to how best use our time, and where not to waste it - places we'd never have found such as secluded beaches. Recommendations on where to snack & dine. Breakfasts could have been in our room but we chose poolside, beautifully handmade food. Our early ferry departure was accommodated with a prompt breakfast. Charles is an excellent host, and Charles and Charles MV is a delightful place to stay. If we return to the island we'd not consider staying anywhere staying else.

Staying at Charles & Charles truly made our first trip to the vineyard extra special. From the little details like fresh flowers and local snacks in our room, to going above and beyond giving us a ride to the ferry dock, they do everything they can to ensure their guests have a wonderful experience. Breakfast was outstanding—not just the fresh, delicious food but also the lovely setting by the pool and excellent service by Debbie. We made use of the free bikes they have available and spent some time relaxing in the beautiful garden. It’s clear that Charles and Charles put their hearts and souls into this B&B. We greatly appreciated their hospitality and look forward to our next visit!

We were two couples seeking our first vacation staying on Martha's Vineyard last September. Hopefully, this review is timed for those starting to think about vacation. We wanted a B & B that was unique, quiet and accessible to what the island had to offer by car. We got that and more at Charles and Charles. The accommodations were just what we were looking for, including cooking availability to mix in with our trips to the great restaurants that Charles had suggested. The beautiful floral grounds are lovingly maintained by Charles and he was kind enough to share his knowledge and gift (it's just started to show buds yesterday). As far as breakfast by the pool every morning, Charles presented us not only a delicious meal, but a work of art. What a great day to start the morning. It was also a relief to know that we didn't have to lug around beach gear when packing, as the property had beach chairs, umbrellas and towels at our disposal. It was also nice to have off street private parking. I do a lot of research, so I knew what Martha's Vineyard had to offer as we explored the island. But if you needed any guidance, Charles was very helpful, without being intrusive. Both were charming individuals, whom I'm sure we would have got to know better if we hadn't been with another couple. They were great hosts and we thank them for sharing themselves and their beautiful property with us.

My husband and I had the most lovely stay at Charles & Charles for our first trip to the vineyard! The rooms are clean and yummy, thoughtful snacks are provided. Every morning Charles whipped up a delicious, homemade breakfast which was made even better by the setting. Breakfast is served by the pool next to a peaceful garden with soft music playing in the background. It's truly a setting out of a movie! I have food allergies and Charles was happy to accommodate (highly recommend his acai bowls!) Bikes and beach towels are provided and we did take advantage of the short ride to town as well as took the bikes (easy ride) into Oak Bluffs. A list of favorites and must-visits are also provided, but if you ask, Charles will share lots of insider tips, which we found very helpful. Overall, our stay was one we will remember for a long time and made us eager to return! Thank you so much for the wonderful hospitality!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this charming bed & breakfast. Charles was incredibly friendly and helpful, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. The room was beautifully decorated and very comfortable. And the breakfast at the pool was a true delight.

I want to say thank you Charles and Charles for the amazing experience!! They are one of the sweetest people you’ll ever meet! But also want to thank Deb for an amazing experience as well! Your hospitality is so special! I would 100 recommend this place!! Can’t wait to see you guys again!!! I’m so excited for the breakfast! Those meals were delicious!!!!

Our stay at Charles & Charles was one of the most pleasant experiences ever! From the homemade donuts and cute little breakfast pizza's, the owners really make you feel comfortable, like you live at Martha's Vineyard like a local - for a short time. We really loved it, and can't say enough about the amenities and attention to detail that the owners put in there. They obviously care a lot about making guests feel comfortable and cared for, and that goes a long way.

Had such a good weekend here with my fiancé. Charles was extremely accommodating and very much went the extra mile for us when my late check in turned to no check in as we missed the last ferry, even offering us an extra night. The property truly does look like it belongs in a Better Homes and Gardens magazine and the complimentary breakfast was unique and delicious every morning. We meet Charles Saturday morning and he offered us some great suggestions that we followed through with. Although we were there before busy season really took off I’m glad we got to experience the Vineyard for the first time. If we make our way back in the future we would definitely book to stay with them again!
